This study highlights the importance of using bedside clinical parameter such as CRT rather than relatively expensive repetitive biochemical testing in resources saving era , by providing support by the conclusion that CRT-guided resuscitation is not inferior to lactate-guided resuscitation. | |

Should we use repeat lactate measurement to guide resuscitation in septic shock? Are there other measures of perfusion, such as capillary refill time (CRT) that may guide resuscitation and improve outcome?
