This paper just endorsed the conventional practice wisdom of stopping Aspirin in perioperative period is not bad. Infact its associated with less bleeding.Thus why to go overboard and try to prevent imaginative risk of MI or other vascular thrombotic events.I am curious to know the events of stroke and TIA in both groups | |

This is the POISE-2 trial, a multi-centre prospective, 2x2 factorial trial, randomised 10,010 patients undergoing non-cardiac surgery and at risk of vascular complications to aspirin vs placebo and clonidine vs placebo. This paper reports the aspirin result. Patients received 200mg...
