This prospective nationwide study based in The Netherlands from 2006-2012 reports the incidence of delayed cerebral thrombosis following proven bacterial meningitis. They report;
- Incidence of 1.1% (11 of 1032 cases)
- 10 had strep pneumoniae, 1 listeria
