What a relief. Just imagine ICUs full of end stage decompensated Cardiac patients on CVVHF. If maximum pharmacological therapy, synchronisation therapy, correcting ischemia and hypertension aren't helping, there is not much more that can be done. It is probably time for the Physician to have that 'end of life conversation' which they have so conveniently not paid attention to and have shyed away from. | |
