In this 4494 patient multicenter RCT, a single dose of 1mk/kg intraoperative dexamethasone during cardiac surgery...
-did not reduce the 30-day incidence of major outcomes (death, MI, stroke, renal or resp failure)
-resp failure was 3% in dex group vs 4.3% placebo...
