The ENTERIC study tells us;
- that frictional small bowel tubes work, i.e. they get into the small bowel in 15 hrs in 87% of patients
- patients with mildly elevated GRV's in the early stages of critical illness don't appear to benefit from delivery of nutrition to the small bowel...
