The key problem here surely is the revascularisation rate in off pump CABG without any demonstrable benefits in the primary outcomes. Long term graft survival has also been questioned in other studies, which leaves me wondering about the role of off pump surgery. Any thoughts? | |

Off-pump CABG was developed to reduce morbidity and mortality associated with cardiopulmonary bypass. It has been difficult to establish the effect on mortality, AMI, stroke and renal failure.
