I noticed that the patients who were discharged home were considered survivors at 60 days. Is this a normal thing to do? Is it possible that the survival was not 100% in those patients discharged home, and if so, can this be corrected for? | |

Comments: This large prospective RCT performed by the ARDS Clinical Trials Network looks at the issue of "permissive underfeeding" vs full enteral feeding" in critical illness, with recent studies challenging the "norm" that we should aim for full caloric intake where possible.
