Interesting - supports the views already expressed in the blog. Its a shame studies on these environmental issues (which probably have a big impact on patient outcomes) are unlikely to be funded. | |

Hold the phone! Oliver, I'll be releasing a podcast with Roz Elliott from North Shore in Sydney in the next few weeks - she's done exactly that! You're right though, there are lots of interventions that when packaged together probably improve patient outcomes but are unlikely to receive the same attention as some other more sexy ones. | |

This paper finds that unacceptable levels of noise contribute significantly to sleep deficit in hospitalised patients. The world health organisation (WHO) recommend that mean levels of 30dB...
